Wishbone Thermometer App Reviews

Tested all the The different modes and it seems to work fine so far. The readings are easy the app seems clean and focused. So far so good. I havent seen any of the complications the other reviewers have said but time will tell.

I dont normally do reviews but I got this for my birthday and it seems to work fine. I mean I did not check it against an accurate reading and I didnt get into is it .4 degrees off kind of nitpicking. When I tested it against my temp I got 98.4 which seemed about right. When I tested it against my cup of coffee it said it was 140 degrees which seemed about right when I tested it against my juice it said it 53 degrees which seemed about right when I did ambient air temperature it said 79 when I have the thermostat set at 78 so seems about right. Since this is a kickstarter project I thought I would chime in.

I often have to unplug and reconnect the Wishbone device multiple times before it works.

Its a relief when a kick starter actually delivers when many are not delivering anything at all. The wishbone has completely met my expectations. Its surprisingly accurate and fast at capturing a temperature. It is more accurate than my cheap infrared thermometer and identical to my old Mercury thermometer that measures in tenths. The sensor is state of the art. I havent had any issues with the app not detecting the wishbone on my iPhone 6. Joywing really delivered on this one.

Hmm maybe if I replug the device? Nope. Total garbage. This app needs to do one thing and they cant even get that right.

Please allow iOS to flip the app vertically. On an iPhone6 the headphone jack is on the bottom, so when temping a person your app is upside down.

The dongle is way too finicky. Wishbone was sold as fast and accurate for ideal for screaming babies. I grudgingly put up with the requests to "replug" device as it was still accurate and fast, but now the dongle has apparently completely failed. Multiple devices, reboots & battery replacements/fiddling and nothing.

When an app asks to access something I dont think it needs, I usually deny it. Got nothing but replug errors on my 4s. Once I allowed access to the microphone, it works great. Also works great on my iPad Mini.

Readings are accurate. App is user friendly. Works great with Ipad and iPhone 6

I havent left a review of an app in a long time but I have to get the word out on this. Its a train wreck. Replug, replug, replug, insert the device...over and over and over. It works maybe one out of 50 tries. Just terrible. iPhone 6, iPhone 5C, iPad mini 2, iPad 2, iPad 3, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active...none of them work. Stay away.

Please update app to work with iPhone 6s. Device is not recognized when plugged in and has permission to use microphone.

Too bad you need to buy it to know it. Had to go to my neighbor to get an iPhone 5, and it worked well then.

Doesnt work with my iPhone 6s. I bought 2 stupidly and one didnt even come with batteries. Dont buy it!

Was a great app and product on earlier versions of IOS, but now all it does is ask you to "reinsert device."

Just like everyone else has reported the device is a big fail. After I used it twice successfully it started giving me the dreaded "please replug the device" error over and over. Do yourselves a big favour a skip this lousy lousy product.

Same error over and over. iPhone 6s 9.1 This has never worked once. Could be a 5 star if it worked. Please fix.

App and dongle were great at first but then an update came out and an iOS update was release and now it constantly asked for the dongle to be removed and reinstalled.

Gosh, this worked at first but now with my iPhone 6s Plus it just says "Replug" to no avail. Sigh. Not sure what to do. I tried new batteries and reloading app. This may be one of those investments you write off as "never again". Nice concept in theory, but the darn thing does not work. Frustrating. I guess the developer got my money and he is on to other things? Hope not but may be the case.

This review is based on the lack of compatibly with the iPhone6s & iPhone6 Plus and the new version of iOS Please fix this problem nobody cant buy this product without a compatible app
