Wishbone Thermometer App Reviews

This is a theft! Dont buy this thermometer and check the comments of owners on Kickstarter!!!

I supported wishbone by crowd funding and quite like the gadget itself, but the corresponding app is just awful. It looks ugly. The screen view does not adjust to the positioning of the device. The sections for settings and help are empty. Lots of work still to do.

I bought the little gizmo today and during the first 10 minutes playing around with it, it seemed to work. Then a few hours later, I wanted to try it again on my sleeping son and it doesnt work anymore. It keeps telling me to hold it vertically (why?) 3-5cm from the temple or forehead, but guess what? Thats what I am doing! Geez, so much money down the drain...

Does not work with iPhone 6. Constant message: please replug device. No idea how good it is....

It keeps saying to reconnect the device, but even after I do it doesnt work.

Well this looked like what I needed but... This app needs an additional object you plug into your phone to use it, but doesnt even mention how & where to get this piece. Id rather buy a thermometer than a special piece to insert into my phone to check the temperature.

App will not work in any mode. Continues to have error message the asks you to re-plug device.

App keeps asking "please replug the device" wont work in any mode.

Not sure if this is a hardware error or app error! Either way it doesnt matter, because I am unable to get a body temp with wishbone, which is the whole reason why I backed this project!! I emailed customer service about the issues and have not got a reply yet! I hope they reply soon!

This app is horrible on iPad Air it does not center cutting off half the icons. Most iPhone only apps at least center. The on the iPhone it does not rotate so if you have say an iPhone 5 then the jack is on the bottom so you have to use the app upside down. Ambient air temp seems off. As for the re plug error you just need to en sure the app has permission to your mic.

App installed fine. Auto rotate works well. However I cannot get any temperature readings. It tells me to replug the device every time.

Just received this today and tried it out...it worked great earlier, but when hubby tried it tonight, we kept getting the replug the device message. We opened the battery spot, took the batteries out and put the back in and it works now. Just in case anyone else reads this review for the same reason we were here. Try that out if you get that message too! Im giving it 5 stars just because Im being optimistic. :)

This thing is absolute garbage. It immediately turns itself off and will not work no matter how many times you try to plug it in. Removing and reinstalling the batteries doesnt help either. Huge waste of money.

Now that it is working, it works great. Very easy to use and really useful. Make sure you change setting to enable automatic screen rotation. And try waiting a day or pulling batteries out if you are having "device unplugged" issue many others have reported (I had that at first but now seems to be working fine).

The app/thermometer combo does work on my iPhone 6. The key to not getting the "please reinsert the device message" was enabling microphone permissions. Right now the temperatures seem a little off. I will do further testing with a calibrated thermometer and update my review if the temps are correct.

Just got this in the mail a little while ago, had no issues with plugging in the device as others mentioned. Seems to have measured body temp, object temp, and ambient temp fairly accurately. Im using it on my iPhone 6. I dont have another thermometer to compare the accuracy, but appears to be in the right range. Hopefully I wont have the issues others are mentioning about the replugging later on. Will update this review if I do have those issues. For now, glad I purchased this, neat little device!
